Hello!

I wanted to write a little something about using my music in your content. I’ve had various questions over this through the years so here it is in more formal writing.

What music can I use?

In short, if you have purchased either E:Blue, X-17, the Degner EP or The Vault: 2017-2021, these are not in the YouTube content ID system and you don’t need whitelisting to use music from these releases. If you’re using anything from these, read on below.

So… hi. I’m Sam. I’m non-binary, and I use they/them pronouns. You can use he/him if you’d like, or even she/her if you’re feeling really spicy! But I’m most connected to being a “third, scarier thing” as Rin Penrose once said.

Since cracking my egg earlier this year, I’ve really been struggling to put together how to come out to a broader audience. I really wanted to make sure I got this right, that this was really how I felt about myself, and that I was sure of these feelings that I’ve repressed for so, so long, before I made some sort of post about it.

So 2025’s been an interesting year for me in general. Between health issues and not getting the productivity things I’d have liked to have done this year, I’d be inclined to write it off if it weren’t for all the other amazing things that happened this year. Whilst I haven’t been as active musically as I’d have liked in a public sense, what I’ve done privately has made me very happy with my mixing skills to the point where I’m close to opening mix-for-hire commissions.
